Jersey Intel’s roundup of public meetings outside Hudson County on Monday, Oct. 12, and Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026. Unless we say an action was adopted, items are listed as on the agenda: most boards had not posted minutes or vote results as of Tuesday night. Every item links to the official agenda or record in the Sources box below.

Passaic County commissioners: Meritain resolution rewritten the day of the vote

Tuesday morning Jersey Intel reported that resolution 26-1037, a no-bid 2027 renewal for Meritain Health to administer the county’s self-insured medical plan, listed three prices: $1,469,808 in the WHEREAS clause, $1,469,888 in words, and $3,999,624 in the RESOLVED clause that authorizes the award.

By Tuesday evening the county’s Legistar record carried a new title beginning “AMENDED.” The record shows it was last changed at 4:21 p.m. ET Tuesday, about an hour before the 5:30 p.m. meeting. The resolution text the county now publishes uses $1,469,808 in both the WHEREAS and RESOLVED clauses, and the words read “one million four hundred sixty-nine thousand eight hundred and eight dollars.” The $3,999,624 figure no longer appears. The only PDF attached to the file is still the original Oct. 9 version. The meeting page says minutes are not finalized, so the vote is not yet confirmed.
